Going to hospital?

All hospital admissions need to be pre-authorised by Universal Care.

Universal Care should be contacted on (011) 208 - 1100 at least 48 hours before an admission or within 24 hours after an emergency admission.

Should there be a need for an emergency admission after hours, please call the above number and leave a clear message with the after hours call answering company detailing your member number and contact details. Your call will be returned the following working day.
